HISTORY

KAPPA RED, WHITE & BLU-PHI 4TH OF JULY WEEKEND
staff comprises of two Brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi and two Brothers of Phi Beta Sigma. It started in 2004 as just a party. In 2005, it escalated into a basketball tournament, barbeque and after-party. 2006 brought us more of the same. In 2007, the weekend grew larger adding another party to the list of events. 2008 and 2009 carried the legacy further by inserting a comedy show. In 2010, the basketball
tournament and barbeque became the focal points of the weekend. 2011, we had 2000+ people in attendance. By adding an All-Star weekend this January, our crowd for the 4th of July 2012 audience, we project to double -if not triple our attendance.
Historically black fraternities and sororities are built on community service.
Our main goal is to make Kappa Red, White and Blu-Phi weekend the biggest and most family-friendly college event on the east coast.
